Hospitality Furniture 101: Why Quality Matters

When it comes to hospitality furniture, finding the right balance between comfort and durability is key. Your space should feel welcoming and cozy, just like home, but it should also stand up to heavy use and maintain its appearance. At QA Group, we believe that quality hospitality furniture isn’t just about looking good—it’s about lasting power and exceptional performance.

Imagine walking into a fancy restaurant only to find that the booths and banquettes are worn out and sagging. It’s disappointing, right? Your customers deserve better, and so does your investment. We know that choosing top-quality furniture might mean we’re not always the cheapest option, but our goal is to offer furniture that keeps its value and functionality for years to come. In this post, we’ll show you what makes our hospitality furniture stand out and how our custom upholstery services can meet your highest expectations.

What Makes Our Hospitality Furniture Different?

At QA Group, we’ve learned a lot about what works best in manufacturing hospitality furniture and designing new lounge seating. Over the years, we’ve fine-tuned our process to ensure we deliver furniture that’s not only stylish but built to last.

1. Solid Plywood Hardwood Frames: We start with sturdy, solid hardwood plywood frames. Our frames are crafted using CNC-cut engineered 3/4” plywood here in Seattle, Washington. These frames are reinforced with glue, staples, and screws at every joint to ensure they can handle heavy use. Our hospitality furniture is designed to be much heavier and more durable than typical residential furniture. This extra strength means it will last much longer, even in high-traffic areas.

2. No-Sag Springs: For seat construction, we use no-sag springs, also known as sinuous springs. This system is widely used in furniture because it’s proven to provide consistent support and resilience. Our springs are wrapped in durable foam and Dacron to keep them in place and maintain their shape over time. The result is a seat that doesn’t sag or lose its shape, even with years of use.

3. High-Resiliency Foam Padding: On top of our springs, we use commercial-grade, high-resiliency foam padding. This foam is designed to support the upholstery fabric and prevent sagging or puddling in the seats. It ensures that your furniture remains comfortable and looks great throughout its life.

Our Commitment to Quality

We don’t just build furniture; we build pieces that are meant to last through multiple lifecycles. We believe that hospitality furniture should not be disposable. Instead, it should offer the best look, longevity, and performance.

When you choose QA Group, you’re not just getting high-quality furniture—you’re also benefiting from decades of experience. Since 1936, we’ve been perfecting our craft and learning what works best in furniture engineering and upholstery. Our experience helps us create custom booths, banquettes, and upholstered seating that are second to none in terms of quality and durability.
