Tapped Public House’s newest location at the Port of Everett brings a community-driven dining experience into the heart of Waterfront Place, part of a larger effort to transform the marina into a true regional destination. With expansive views, a large rooftop deck, and steady traffic from both locals and visitors, the space needed to feel approachable while performing at a high level day in and day out.

QA Group partnered closely with K Miller Design Co. and the ownership team at The Way Group Hospitality to deliver custom seating tailored to both the layout and the pace of service. The project moved on a tight timeline tied to a coordinated opening, requiring fast decisions and dependable execution throughout. As the team noted early on, “our soft seating (booths, banquettes) have been a pinch point for us on our previous projects,” making this a critical scope to get right from the start.

The seating scope centered around using our Cascade collection of customizable standard booths – configured to create intimate groupings across the dining floor. This included six U-shaped corner units, four 60” long booths to create a wall banquette, and custom fillers to complete the round booth layouts. All units were upholstered in Symphony Vintage Vinyl in Coal, selected for durability, ease of maintenance, and a refined appearance that holds up under heavy use.

The design direction called for something elevated but still grounded… a look that felt intentional without being overly formal. A stitched channel design was carried across all booths, introducing rhythm to the seating while staying within a practical budget range. The result is a clean, architectural feel that delivers a more premium look without pushing cost out of range for a high-use restaurant environment.

With a tight timeline, QA Group worked directly with the designer and ownership group to finalize layouts, confirm specifications, and move efficiently into production. That reliability carried through the project, with feedback reflecting that “they not only delivered on time – but with quality and professionalism,” even under compressed conditions.

The modular construction of the banquettes allowed for streamlined fabrication while maintaining a fully custom appearance. Each piece was built to align cleanly, ensuring the finished installation felt cohesive across the entire space. Coordination through delivery and install remained just as important, contributing to what the team described as “a smooth process on our end, and everything arrived as expected for the build.”

The finished result is a dining environment that feels cohesive, comfortable, and built for real use. The attention to detail did not go unnoticed, with the team noting their appreciation for “the professionalism and the attention to detail in helping bring the space together.” The seating anchors the space visually while supporting the flow of service and guest experience throughout the restaurant. Simply put, “the booths look great,” but more importantly, they perform the way the space demands.

Tapped Public House now stands as part of a larger movement transforming the Everett waterfront into a destination for dining and community. For The Way Group Hospitality, the project reinforces their focus on delivering consistent, high-quality hospitality experiences. For QA Group, it reflects a consistent approach – building seating that fits the space, performs under pressure, and earns continued trust, with the team already noting they are “in contract to work with QA again on our next project.”
