Custom Upholstery Order Timeline

Thank you for giving QA Group the opportunity to bid on your custom upholstery project! As we proceed, we’ll keep you informed at every step. Our team will work closely with you from start to finish to design and engineer the perfect upholstered solution for your space and budget. Below, you’ll find our updated custom upholstery order timeline of what to expect. 

Your Project Deadline & Customer Experience Are Our Top Priorities

01 Estimate Request

It begins with an idea...

Submit an inquiry on our website with your project details, and a sales team member will collaborate with our estimating department to provide you with a comprehensive estimate. Please allow 3 to 6 business days (or longer, depending on scope) for our estimating process. 

02 Approval & P.O.

...one that gradually evolves...

Once you approve the estimate, our team will begin processing your purchase order and align it with our documentation. We will send you an order confirmation detailing exactly what will be built. Please review this confirmation carefully to verify that all details are correct and complete. 

To ensure your project stays on schedule, please submit your purchase order as soon as possible, even if your project is several months away. Our production schedule tends to fill up quickly.  

03 Deposit & Procurement

...shaped by your confirmation...

After receiving your purchase order, the next crucial step is to receive the deposit payment. This allows us to order project-specific materials with longer lead times promptly, keeping the project on schedule.  

To ensure availability, please review and approve the materials as soon as possible. Once you approve all fabrics and special items, we’ll proceed with ordering your materials.  Inventory from our vendors is not guaranteed, and delays in your approval could result in inventory shortages. If a fabric mill runs out of stock, we may experience backorder delays with no alternative source available.

04 Pre-Production

...we thoroughly plan for success...

Once your materials are approved and ordered, your project is handed over to the pre-production team. They will review your provided drawings and reach out directly with any questions or clarifications needed.

05 Engineering

...crafted to precise specifications...​

Once we have a clear scope, your order will be handed over to engineering to create renderings for your approval, if requested. It is essential that you review these renderings thoroughly, as this is your final chance to make changes or correct any errors. The renderings will define what will be manufactured and will supersede all previously provided drawings or pictures. Please ensure you check, sign, and confirm the approved renderings.

06 Manufacturing

...then, we let the work shine...

Once the renderings are approved (or if they’re not needed), our engineering team will prepare the shop drawings and move your project into production. Our typical production lead time is 6 to 8 weeks. This timeframe starts from the date we receive final drawing approvals or the last of the necessary materials, whichever happens later. 

07 Q.C. & Transportation

...made in America, guaranteeing lasting quality.

Once your project is finished, we’ll reach out to schedule transportation according to the estimate. We also perform a thorough quality control check to ensure accurate dimensions and flawless craftmanship.
